that hair
Man. I still like this one. I think it was in the last show at USAO before my BFA exhibit. Casey has it now maybe?
Anyway. Still lovin those colours. Time to revisit them. Now I must go stretch my last sheet of watercolour paper.

as promised
Here's some pretty brand new work. Hyuah
This guy is one fancy rat
"Now that's fancy!"

Not sure about this one. Some things I really like. Some things I really don't.
Based on the idea that combining Psalm 22:6 and Matt 5:14 yields the personal identity of a glow worm
"Glow Glow, Glow-Worm"

I just like this one a lot
"Oh light of the world, the dangers you'll face"

And this is my personal favorite thus far. I hope I don't look at it long enough to catch all the flaws because I'm really enjoying it still.
"Anyone got a light? I've got bridges to burn"

Last but not least, animation school has taught me this:
When in doubt, make a fart joke.

down to the knitty gritty

All these little guys are currently in the possession of "Stuffed" magazine, and the best I can figure, under intense and careful scrutiny. I've got 3 series' with 3 dolls in each and high hopes that some of them will be picked up for the next publication.
Sea Critters Series: Here we have a jelly fish, a whale and a hermit crab

Idiom Series: something about word play has really captured my interest lately. So here is a couch potato, a tough cookie and some bad eggs (also, the dirty dozen)

And here are the birds of feather who can not flock together...because i gave them no wings. Or feet for that matter. Amputees have never been so cute

I will try to put up paintings tomorrow!
Labels: birds, crafts, dolls, idioms, knitting, painting, sea critters, stuffed magazine

blaming the holidays...

I'm going to blame the holidays for the lack of posting over the past couple of months. I feel I can do this because all of these are paintings I gave as Christmas presents... I couldn't post before Christmas and risk family and friends seeing their gifts early, could I?
Right. Anyway
More to come soon. I just need to scan!
